Known for his exciting performances filled with vivid compositions and viscerally provoking improvisations, Warfield has been proclaimed as “... perhaps the most powerful tenor saxophonist of his generation,” wrote Peter Watrous, The New York Times. Repertoire includes original compositions and arrangements of standards such as Night Train, Sentimental Journey, Crazy Rhythm, and My Man. Special presentations include his Jazzy Christmas Show and a tribute to legendary jazz organist, Shirley Scott. Residency activities include saxophone master classes, interactive jam sessions, and Q&A lectures.
