Atzilut: Concerts for Peace

Arabic-Jewish musical fusion! Atzilut: Concerts for Peace celebrates the common roots of these two musical traditions and shows the potential for joint creativity hoped for in the Middle East. A rich, exciting tapestry of sound, Atzilut features Arabic and Hebrew singers, four percussionists, two ‘ouds, ney, violin, flute and bass. Atzilut’s music has been described as “uplifting,” “high-voltage,” and “spiritually affecting.” No speeches - the music is the message! “This was the best concert we ever had at the United Nations!” (Jacob Enoch)

Programs feature instrumental and vocal pieces in Hebrew and Arabic, and duets in both languages. Ensemble members conduct informational sessions, workshops and residencies for all ages.
