Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental
Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental is a
highly enigmatic theater team that
incorporates contemporary themes and
classic texts with innovative design.
Known for its exceptional creativity,
bravery and originality, Lucidity uses tap
dance, Eastern European “Action
Design,” rapid-fire scale scene changes
and wild use of media as it travels
through theatrical styles. Lucidity
Suitcase “fuses intellect and feeling with
an entirely original vision of the world”
(Westword) and “can create an entire
universe on the back of a postage
stamp,” wrote The Denver Post. The
company is headed by Pew Fellow
Thaddeus Phillips, described by The New
York Times as “dazzling.”
Repertoire includes MICRWORLD(s)
Part #1: an Eco/Green theater work
using sustainable energy; Flamingo/
Winnebago, a theatrical road-trip;
¡El Conquistador! a live Latin
soap-opera; and Red-Eye to Havre de
Grace, an action opera based on the last
days of Edgar Allen Poe. Residency
activities include a program on creating
an original theater production.
